Imported Goods, Customs Inspection and Testing

We specialise in inspection of vehicles, trailers and general building materials imported to Australia that require assessment for suspect asbestos products.

Imported Goods, Customs Inspection and Testing

We can help especially if your imported goods are held in quarantine (attracting holding fees) by promptly attending site in what is called a “77G depot” or a short-term holding facility away from the wharf or airport designated for the purpose of unpacking and examination.

Our Border Force approved Licensed Asbestos Assessors’ meet Border Force officials, perform inspection according to the issued Query Memorandum and Examination Request, take samples under strict sealed chain of custody conditions, and subsequently issue laboratory reports based on the samples taken.

Our service can also be helpful if you are planning importation and can mitigate customs hold ups, by receiving product samples overseas via special exemption, to have the materials pre-assessed before arriving at Australian docks.
